Maidstone scores within a minute of the start

The game should have started at 7:00 pm but the teams were not ready until about 7:15 pm but the clock was started at 7:10 pm with Maidstone yelling to have the clock reset but that did not happen. The game had to finish on time. You want to play a full hour, be ready on time.

Hampton FC had just seven men but Maidstone had a full team. Just within the first minute of the start, Mario Olaya of Maidstone Market scores. From that point on,both sides were attacking well with several good shots at the net at both ends but no more goals were scored.

Maidstone Keeps Scoring

In the second half of play, Maidstone had some great shots on the Hampton FC net but their goalie, Qui Que Araya made some nice saves. Maidstone Market scored again when Ernesto Valverde hit the ball toward the Hampton FC goal with team mate Antonio Padilla heading the ball into the net.

At the 47th minute, Maidstone put the game away when Valverde dribbled into the Hampton FC goalie box to blast the ball into the net.

With not much time left Andry Cruz of Hampton FC was attacking. Cruz trying to get a loose ball inside the Maidstone goalie box Maidstone goalie Alex Mesa goes for the ball as Cruz also tries to get to it. Cruz falls to the ground and the referee gives a yellow card to Mesa and a penalty kick to Hampton FC which Tono Gonzalez takes and scores. With that goal, Maidstone goes on to win their third straight championship game.
