Both teams were ready for the game but the only problem the lighting. Half of the bulbs in the light fixtures were burnt out which made it difficult to see on the field. The team managers agreed to play the game in the dark but wanted the game to only be 60 minutes in length. Usually we play a 70 minute final. Lights or not lights, Liga de Gulag scored first within two minutes of the start when Jorge Naula from about 25 yards blasted the ball into the net.

With about 17 minutes left in the game, Bryan Tacuri of Liga de Gulag fired a 25 yard grounder that Alex Mesa of Maidstone Market could not get.

The game was tied when Alberto Nieto from about 30 yards fired a chest high ball into the net.

Minutes later, Alberto Nieto off a pass from Felipe Cortes fired the ball into the net to give Maidstone Market the lead.

Well, the team leading at the half, has a 80% chance of winning the game and from the past and the way Maidstone was playing, it was looking like they would win another championship game. The next goal for Maidstone Market was a nice one. Danny Salazar with the ball was heading toward the side line and from about 25 yards hit a blast into the net past the hands of Walter Solis.

Things were getting hot with fouls getting called more often. At one point, Mesa found him self on the ground and faking being hurt. At that point Mesa must have at least let the clock run down by five minutes. The referee for his action gave him a yellow card and in his place, Jorge Nieto would be keeper for two minutes. In the two minute time span, Nieto saw no action. Jorge might not have seen any action but his brother, Alberto Nieto near the Liga de Gulag end line fired the ball into the net.

With less then 5 minutes left in the game, Gustavo Gutama scored for Liga de Gulag. Maidstone Market went on to win their 18th championship. The most in league history.
